Taking care of yourself can be a huge challenge when you're serving as a caregiver. I'm glad you have some help and that you're able to get out, even if it's just for several hours. Have you tried reaching out to your local Area Agency on Aging or senior center? They may be able to direct you to some additional resources in your area. You mention that you've been looking for work. First spend some time thinking about what you really want during this time. Do you want a part-time or temporary job? Or would you prefer to work full-time? Would you use your income to pay for more in-home care or would you consider other caregiving options?Once you have some clarity about this, set some short-term, maybe just weekly goals. Your goals might include identifying the type of work you want to do, getting to know people in the field, and networking. Then on the days when you have help, use your time to take small steps toward your goals.I wish you the best. Please let me know what happens.Janet

James, what a tough situation you’re in!
