About Janet

Hi, I’m Janet Cranford, and I’m a career coach who helps people over 50 find work that’s a more authentic expression of who they are.

Maybe you have a dream or a vision about what you want to do. Or you wish to somehow make a difference in your corner of the world. But the idea of changing careers after 50 seems frightening and a bit overwhelming.

I started my career coaching business, Career Change Pathways, as a way to help people in midlife (1) navigate through the career change process, and (2) avoid having regrets later about not taking that first step.

My experience prior to becoming a career coach includes over 20 years combined experience in counseling and nonprofit management. My unique blend of experience reflects my passion for making a difference on both the individual and organizational levels.

In my first blog post, I explain what led me to create this blog, and I list some of the topics you can expect to see. As I mention in my post, I welcome your input and would love to hear from you, either here on my blog or through my Contact page.

Credentials (more details on my website’s About page):

  • Certified Career Management Coach (CCMC)
  • Certified Retirement Coach
  • Graduate of Institute for Life Coach Training
  • Member of International Coach Federation
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work
  • Former Chief Financial Officer and CPA with several nonprofit organizations
